Healing the Scars of Emotional Abuse

Dr. Gregg Jantz founded The Center for Counseling and Health Resources – A Place Of Hope nearly three decades ago. The Center for Counseling and Health Resources helps patients confront eating disorders, depression, and many other conditions. He is the author of Healing the Scars of Emotional Abuse, among other books.

Healing the Scars of Emotional Abuse addresses how easy it can be to overlook the telltale signs of emotional abuse, and how the scars left from emotional assaults can be just as damaging as those left from physical abuse. Because the pain inflicted by emotional abuse cannot be seen, individuals suffering from emotional abuse often remain silent about their hardships and allow their distress to grow over long periods of time. Healing the Scars of Emotional Abuse offers each reader the chance to confront his or her own emotional scars, learn to accept them, and begin a true process of healing.

November Book Giveaway at The Center for Counseling and Health Resources

At The Center for Counseling and Health Resources, teams of psychologists, psychiatrists, and other experts provide whole-person care for those suffering from a variety of conditions. The Center’s founder, Dr. Gregg Jantz, also writes books on many of the disorders treated at the facility.

Starting November 7, 2012, The Center began giving away copies of Dr. Jantz’s newest book, Battles Men Face: Strategies to Win the War Within. The book covers a variety of behavioral issues that men struggle with, including pornography, anger, consumption, competition, escape, and emotional withdrawal. Through the end of the 30-day promotion, The Center will give away copies of the book to commenters on Dr. Jantz’s Twitter feed and Facebook page. Previous commenters have included people who live with men in high-stress professions and men who use video games as a form of escape.
